Fairmont Hotels & Resorts & eCornell Announce Partnership for Employee Benefit

TORONTO, May 09, 2007 — Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Cornell University and eCornell on a new venture that will provide top-quality online training and education to leaders at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts locations worldwide.

Developed by Cornell University's world-renowned School of Hotel Administration, Johnson Graduate School of Management, and School of Industrial Relations, Fairmont's management-level colleagues will have the ability to take courses and earn Certificates from Cornell University in the fields of Hospitality Management, Foodservice Management, Financial Management, Proactive Leadership, Executive Leadership, Supervisory Skills and Human Resources Management.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Ms. Carolyn Clark stressed, "As Fairmont continues to advance its strategy of brand expansion and global growth, leadership development will be a key priority.
