Deb Peters holds a B.S. in Business from the University of Minnesota; an M.A. in Industrial Relations (now referred to as Human Resources) from the University of Minnesota and a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.
Ms. Peters has worked for over 15 years in human resources and employment and labor law. Her work experience includes time with the federal government (National Labor Relations Board, Region 18 in Minneapolis, Minnesota), with a public utility (Human Resources professional for Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco), for state government (several years as a Senior Labor Relations Representative for the State of Minnesota), and for private corporations (attorney practicing employment law and benefits law as well as other areas of law for Harnischfeger Industries and Superior Services) where she worked as Human Resources Director overseeing all areas of Human Resources in a rapidly changing manufacturing environment. Ms. Peters was involved in the first joint committee on employee benefits created at the State of Minnesota to deal with the rising costs of employee benefits.
