Nancy Lampen

Nancy Lampen is Director of International Programs for the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University. She also manages and teaches for Cornell's Global Strategic Executive Human Resources Management Certificate program, a program that provides training for senior human resources executives in Mexico and Argentina. Ms. Lampen holds a Bachelor's in Communication from SUNY College at Brockport, a Master's in Adult Education from the University of Rochester, an additional year of graduate work in communications from SUNY at Buffalo, and a Graduate Certificate in Industrial and Labor Relations from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations, Cornell University.
Ms. Lampen has over 20 years of experience in program design and teaching. Before joining Cornell, she taught communications as a tenured professor at Monroe Community College. Her expertise and areas of interest include: crisis communications, interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills, listening, assertiveness training, group dynamics, and meeting skills. She also has extensive experience in international studies, training and development, workplace violence, group dynamics and processes, training management, conflict prevention and resolution, curriculum design, education, and workforce preparedness.
Ms. Lampen has conducted training for such organizations as Xerox Corporation, ITT Automotive, BMW, Inc., and Playtex. She is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Personal Profile System and Ms. Lampen was named to Who's Who in America's Teachers, 1998 edition. She is a member of the American Society of Training and Development and was a presenter at the organization's 2002 International Conference.
