National Emergency Grant (NEG) Training
The Federal NEG program is designed to help the former employees of 31 financial service businesses who were dislocated as a result of the mass layoffs in 2008. Each individual displaced from their position after May 31, 2008 can qualify for a grant up to $12,500 worth of career training.
This grant is for training purposes as part of the State’s Eligible Training Provider Program. Only institutions registered with their State Board of Education can administer training. eCornell provides top quality professional development and training and is a member of the New York State Eligible Training Provider Program. All eCornell certificate programs have been approved for this disclocated worker program.
This is a time sensitive program and National Emergency Grant funds will run out when they've been awarded.

Who qualifies to receive this Grant?
- Employees who worked for the above 31 companies which were dislocated after May 31, 2008
- Individuals in need of training to advance their career.
- You do not have to be unemployed to qualify for this training. For eligibility guidelines, please contact your employment counselor at your local NYS Department of Labor.
