eCornell partners with organizations to conduct a needs analysis that builds the value chain connecting an organization’s strategic business objectives to individual performance metrics. The result is the design of a comprehensive learning or training intervention that contributes in identifiable and measurable ways to the organization‘s ability to achieve its strategic business objectives.
Six-Step Process Overview
eCornell’s needs analysis comprises six steps:
- Identify strategic business objectives.
- Identify business and performance metrics that will measure success in achieving strategic business objectives.
- Identify knowledge and skills required to drive business and performance metrics.
- Translate knowledge & skills into competencies and learning outcomes.
- Recommend (and design, if necessary) learning/training interventions to address competencies and learning outcomes.
- Document process and outcomes in a formal written report and recommended action plan.
